An architect by day and a techno enthusiast by night, I explore the intersection of architecture and sound. My passion for electronic music and sound design comes alive through Ableton, a tool I use not only for crafting music but also as an extension of my architectural process.
It all began in Tehran, where I discovered the electrifying world of electronic music under the mentorship of the legendary Ata Ebtekar (Sote). Growing up surrounded by brutal sounds and raw energy, my style evolved—shaped further by iconic spaces like Berghain, Tresor, Laboratory Berlin, Lehmann Stuttgart, and Openground. These places, with their unique atmospheres, inspired me to think about music as an exploration of space, much like architecture.
My experience also includes live sets in Germany, where I’ve shared my sound in spaces that amplify its connection to architecture. Under the name Attacking Doors, I craft conscious techno—a sonic exploration of the cosmos. Each recording takes place in or is inspired by spaces defined by doors, symbolizing transitions and boundaries.
For me, architecture and music are parallel worlds. Through loops and soundscapes, I build spaces, and through drawings and designs, I compose sound.
Weaving Persian Sounds
Persian music deeply influences my sound journey. I incorporate Iranian instruments, rhythms, vocals, and poetry into my tracks, weaving them with the rich history of electronic music—particularly its subgenres like minimal, dub, and industrial techno.
Bringing It to the Live Set
In 2024, I had the opportunity to open the Straussi 3 Sommer Festival with a live audio-visual set. The performance featured a mix of ambient electronic sounds, groovy dub techno, and dynamic, upbeat techno, incorporating some of my own tracks throughout. Here’s a video capturing the experience.
Architectural Drawing Through Sound
I’ve created a PDF manual designed for conscious listeners—a guide to deepen your listening experience and inspire meaningful dialogue with others. This publication offers insights into my approach to sound, music, and the ideas that drive my work.
You can explore it on Issuu to learn more about my process and the stories behind the sounds.
